Due to the addictive quality of Minecraft I haven't done any programming on it this week so far. My mother also took away my laptop so I will not be able to develop until tomorrow which isn't quite a big loss due to the fact that it is 10:00 pm and I want to get some sleep tonight. Another upside to not having my laptop is the fact that I actually got my homework done tonight :D. I think that is all I have for now. If I do program tomorrow I might get AI done unless there is another problem with flying, that would blow.

 Until next time.

I have found a solution on how to make up up and down down. Expect that build out a bit sooner :D

Saturday, January 21, 2012

Hey all, I have good news and i have bad news. The bad new is the next build won't be out for a few more days, the good new is I found the problem with the AI script so it almost works. I just have to change the axis the spaceship turns on, whats up, whats down, etc. That shouldn't take too much brain power though. I might even program in an 'up axis' selection and 'forward axis' selection. The reason for this is because SOMEBODY doesn't know how to keep 'up', 'up'  and 'forward', 'forward'.

So yea the build will be out middle of next week maybe, again the reason I am putting 'stupid' AI in is so you actually have something to shoot at. At the time being it won't fall if the collider gets hit by another one, it will just continue in its 'stupid circles' (aka doesn't know where to go)

until next time... you know the rest, I must sleep.

PS:  I just sneezed and my arms hurt now.

Hello again people of the world. I have gotten the machine gun pretty much done, it uses linecasting to find the next thing the bullet would hit. On this note I am not going to be releasing this build quite yet, unless other developers say otherwise. The reason for this is so I can make the gun look like it is shooting, and it is stuck shooting now. Also I will put a "stupid" AI for you guys to shoot at, they won't shoot back or evade objects. That's why I call them stupid. Expect the build to be out middle of next week, maybe sooner. 'All' I have to do is make a shoot button for the machine gun and bring the AI over to this project/scene.

Until next time

PS: Luke says notherwise, whatever that means.
I just wanted to say... I'm blogging at school :D. I am in my independent study class rendering something while listening to pandora :D. Once I get this rendered and edited I might post it, but that won't be until next week.

So today in personal finance we had time to play on the computers today after we got done with our finals. I brought my flashdrive today and tested out the game. Guess what, THE COMPUTERS ARN'T SLOW :D. For some reason the downloaded version must have been slow. Now that I think of it there was one file that was blocked for some reason. That could have been the reason it was so slow... at any rate I am glad that it wasn't actually that slow on that computer, it might be able to play on an Android or iPod/iPhone/iPad/iPee wait what? any who I need to study, or something.

Until next time

Made in five seconds with paint
Hey, Patrick. I made this for you. I hope you think it is pretty :D.
So today in personal finance we had time to do whatever we wanted. So being a very intelligent fellow I went on to mediafire and got our latest build so I could play around with it. Turns out that the newest build is VERY slow on the school computers, although they are suggested to play RT3 on 'very high' settings. It might also be a possibility the computers are 64 bit and are not compatible with my game.

At any rate the moment calls for us to buy the android license so we can test the game on an actual android device and stop guessing if it is low quality enough for them. If our father does not front us the money now we will have to take matters into our own hands and buy it ourselves. If that is even an option.

That is all for now

Hey I'm not posting music, what a surprise! If you haven't heard there is a bill in congress called S.O.P.A. short for bullshi..... I mean Stop Online Piracy Act. This bill would devastate any computer user that goes on the internet. From the regular Facebook user to the Youtube uploader. This bill would blow a hole through your way of internet life. For starters this bill has no mercy whatsoever, if there is a website with copyrighted material the whole fucking website goes down. Prime example is Youtube, and I'm dead serious. Many websites have already taken a stand against Sopa, such as Wikipedia or Minecraft. If you think bill is total B.S. like I do go to this LINK and sign the petition! Have a nice week everyone.

P.S. Here is another S.O.P.A. hating website (not too hard to find those) LINK.

I am back once again to say that I have go Build.04 done. I have included shooting missiles. When they hit something they do disappear, but their whole trail does as well. So I need to fix that. In the next build expect that problem to be fixed. I also need to make a normal gun that isn't missiles, this will be a bit harder due to the fact the object can go right through objects if they go to fast. For this reason I am going to have to use raycasting. That basically means I will draw a line from the front of the ship to the next thing it hits. I will also have to think of a way to do effects with this because using actual projectiles is out of the question, maybe I will use particles. Whatever, here is the link for the current build. http://www.mediafire.com/?vcc77eufdyyj45t

I also wanted to note I might not be on at all next week due to finals. For this reason the next build will be out next week because of the lack of development this week

Yes we have finally made a twitter account, after I convinced Grant with my cunning linguistic skills. The twitter account can be accessed here!
Hello all you whippersnappers I am here to present you the!....................(moment of suspense especially if you didn't read the title)......................................... THE ASTEROID! So yeah just eat up that pretty little asteroid up!
I know that you may have seen some of my earlier posts of some of my songs or maybe you have seen the post welcoming me to the team. Well since everyone else has made there own version of telling who they are and what they do I thought it was my turn to introduce myself. I'am Luke Nelson a.k.a the Music Man or StelarLuke. I'm the only one in charge of music development so yeah... I use aviary (free program) to make my songs. My songs are getting a lot better as I toy with it some more. If anyone has any other music programs (free please) please suggest them in the comments. Well that's all for now. So I'll leave you with some more music. :D

Hi guys, back again. I have been on my bros computer for most of the night and I came to the realization that I did not create a build you guys could fly around in. So I made one. This is the map we use for testing, and it is all yours. All you have to do is sign here and here and here and here and there. Just kidding, here is the download link...  http://www.mediafire.com/?b4192qpo2d1gek1 :D

Note: The controls seem like they were made by a 2 year old dyslectic child.
They are:

Up: I
Down: K
Roll Right: L
Roll Left: J

Accelerate: R
Decelerate: E

Note 2: You must restart the game every time you want to spawn, that's called making it user friendly.

Hi people I am the one that will try and make this game look as magical as possible and I might even add a shiny object for all you easily amused people! :D So I will add objects that I make and hopefully they will fill your hunger for them android graphics!

Keeping with the theme of flying, I thought you might want to see real flying. So I posted this. Enjoy.

Hello again, I have built the game for online playing, but... I don't have a website. I am also pretty sure you cant put unity stuff on blogspot. So I have set up a download that you can use to download the files needed for this build. Just click on the .html file in the .zip file and you should be able to see my AI jets flying around. Here is the link ----> Build.01.Web.zip

Thursday, January 5, 2012

Hello again guys. I have just uploaded a video today of my AI. It is a bitty laggy because I used camstudio to record it. Although the Skrillex music gets your mind off of that a bit.

But without further a do, the video...

So... what did you think of it? I think I might make little videos like this every week to further document the development progress.

I think I covered everything. I didn't do any development today, 2 crashes, uploading to Youtube and getting fresh copies of Firefox and Adobe Flash. Tomorrow I might make my plane able to turn 'down'. As you could probably see in the video, the plane always has to flip to turn towards the other. That should be able to be fixed with only a few lines of code.

Until next time.

I just got finished with part of the AI for our game. I think I am going to call it AAAIS, which stands for Aggressive Airborne Artificial Intelligence System, pronounced "ace".

The reason I have started this post at such a late time (11:00 pm) is because I am very excited with this AI system. Although I only have the x and z coordinates done on it, and it turns only with yaw. I am going to fix up all of these quirky details. I even know how are am going to make it a very aggressive fighter... hell, if you could make a mod for this for Battlefield you would be the king of the skies. I will have to tone down how good it is once I am done though, like late reaction time, short attention span, bad 'eyesight', and things of the like.

I was just going over a scenario in my head in which I was fighting this thing and I realized it would be a bitch to kill, if killing it is even an option. Its just so fast with knowing exactly where to go that it would be unbeatable.

But now I must sleep... I will add on later if I get the time
